The last several months have been kinda crazy for me, I've been down with asthma pretty bad this year. I started with it around this past Thanksgiving, just like last year. Looks to be a seasonal thing, I think that it's Baton Rouge pollution. We live on the Southeast side of town and all of the plants are on the Northwest side, so when the Fall and Winter winds come out of the Northwest, all the bad air is sent to my house. That's just my theory. I have another appointment with the pulmonary doctor in a few weeks and hopefully he can find out what the trigger is for my brand of asthma.
My last outing to the camp was for the hog hunt with the Ladies in Camo at the end of March. We had a blast even thought I wasn't up to snuff. The ladies are great hunters and are very entertaining. Look at the photo album above at the 2010 and 2011 Ladies Hog Hunt, you get a clue about what I'm talking about. Most of the guys at our camp don't get into posing for pics in the woods, we tend to be one tracked minded about getting something done and don't see all of those photogenic spots that the ladies see. Plus, who wants a pic of me posing on a log anyway!
It's time to set up a work weekend to plant a few Spring food plots in a couple of weeks. I would sure like to try some forage soybeans this year for something different, and see if I can get them to grow like all of those pictures of them on the internet. If they will grow like what I've seen, that would cure our problem with the deer over grazing on the plots. We have to do some hog hunting too, we need to thin those rascals out some and hopefully scare them into the next county. We plan to get a group of dog hunters in there real soon.
As for the title of this blog, I have to apologize for not faithfully blogging on my own blog site, I must be breaking some kind of law, but I have a doctors excuse!!!
