Chipper and I found some acorns on the ground this weekend. They are from a Saw Tooth Swamp Oak, White Oak family. Some were almost as big as golf balls. I hunt near that tree last Saturday, but nothing was moving, it was hot and nasty.

Conditions are going to change this weekend, the temps are going to be down by 15-18 degrees for both highs and lows. We are suppose to be at 49 degrees for Saturday morning. Then the long range forecast calls for temps in the 30s for the following weekend, so this should fire things up a bit. Now if we could get rid of the mosquitoes!

I bow hunt, but I do it to be at the camp, I promise you, I'm no Robin Hood! I can't wait to get some blued metal in my hands too. I found some white oak acorns dropping plenty and hunted there two mornings this past weekend, I saw one squirrel, go figure. The weather just got cool the past two weekends, so the deer should start moving more, we will see.

Sorry for the spelling errors - I have fat fingers and they move faster than my brain...

Ditto - for those going out - Good Luck! I will be honing in my son's and I's skills this weekend for a bowhunting trip up to the cabin in Kalkaska, MI. We will be bow hunting and getting the cabin ready for rifle season deer camp. "It i smy favorite time of the year. It is like Cristmas with guns" Remnar Soady -Escanba in Da Moonlight.

I know the acorns are dropping here but I have not been over to the hunting property in MD. But from some of the oak tree's around here I hope it is as good over there. So if you are hunting this weekend Bubba good luck and will hear the good news Sunday night...
