You know that you're getting old, when you talk about your ailments, a lot! I've had another tough year with pleurisy, asthma, or bronchitis, who knows, the doctor can't decide. It has made getting out hunting kinda tough this year. I've hunted just a few times, I stayed at the camp mostly and hunted only when I felt really good. That hasn't been too many times. Luckily I have several box stands so that I can at least stay dry and warm on the bad weather days.
The best part of the season is coming up, so if I'm a good boy and take my medications like I'm suppose to, I still have a chance to have a good deer season. Our peak rut is December 29th and the secondary rut is in the last week of January, but you have to be in the woods to make it happen!
This stand is my new Christmas tree stand. It's nice and warm with a small heater and will keep me nice and dry. I have several more stands that I can use to help me get over the bronchitis and I plan to use them! I have always laughed at senior citizens when the start talking about health problems, well it's not funny anymore. I developed this bronchitis, Asthma, or pleurisy problem last year, I don't know what the heck happened to me! I was doing P90X workouts before this started and I was feeling better than I had been feeling in years. It's a mystery to me and the doctor doesn't quite know what exactly it is or what is causing it. I hope it's cleared up soon so that I can blog about hunting and not about being sick!
