I know it sounds strange for me to say, but it's too hot to think too much about hunting. I was sitting on the covered patio this evening and thought, it feels pretty cool, I wonder what the temp is. I got over and went over the my Ex-lax thermometer see what the temp was, it was only 95 degrees, nearly a damned frost. When you get use to the heat, just not having direct sun is cool.
This has been a tough year for me, asthma for several months, and then I thought I was having heart problems again. I had a heart attack in 1993 when I was 42 years old and have had some problems since then. My left rear main artery is completely closed and I have a stint in an artery on the front side. Surprisingly, I feel great most of the time. I know when to back off. This Spring I thought I was having heart problems and had a heart cath four weeks ago, so evidently my cardiologist did too. As it turns out, he thinks it's stomach problems. I have an appointment on July the 13th. Evidently, a lot of people have stomach problems, for me to have to wait a month for an appointment.
On July the 13th, I leave the www.talkhunting.com Summer Blast with John Thibideaux (cookin) and Brent Sawyer (cobrican) in Western Tennessee. It should be a great time to meet up with all my old friends and a bunch of new friends.
There will be a trail ride, cooking contest, bow shooting contest, and I hope there will be plenty of time to visit. I have hosted several events for Talk Hunting, and as a host you don't get much time to visit, if you are doing it right.
I'm sorry for being negligent in blogging here, but I have a hard time writhing when I don't feel good. Call me a wussy, but I have feel so good most of the time, and when I feel bad, I'm just a baby!
Bow season is just around the corner, so you should be practicing a lot, don't be like me, I always wait until just before the season to get ready. The stands are good and the plots will be ready, but I just can't seam to get ready in time for the bow season, but I'm ready for the deer camp life!!!
