You know that old saying, "Life's a bitch and then you die", it's not far from wrong this year! All of this past Spring, I was sick with bronchitis and gastritis, my Mom has severe dementia, then she fell a few weeks ago and broke her hip. That was bad enough, but she fell the week before the deer season started! My brother Elbis and I also had to go to court to get curatorship over her and cancel the P.O.A. that my youngest brother had, what fun.

I have been lucky enough to get to bow hunt twice and gun hunt twice and the best part of the season is after Christmas, so this may still turn out well after all. I'm invited to a deer hunt at Davis Island Mississippi this weekend with other members of the Baton Rouge, Hunters For The Hungry, I understand that this is a prime hunting area, maybe one of the best in the state of Louisiana, I'm excited!
